Olympic champion Adam Peaty’s mother, Caroline, has broken her silence after she was allegedly banned from attending her son’s wedding to Gordon Ramsay’s daughter, Holly. According to reports, things took a bitter turn over Holly’s hen do, which took place at the Soho Farmhouse in Chipping Norton. It’s believed that the family feud erupted after Caroline was not invited to the hen do, while the 25-year-old’s mother, Tana, and Victoria Beckham were among those on the guest list.
In a fresh plea to her son, Caroline admitted: “It’s the end.” This comes as the competitive swimmer was recently forced to travel through Manchester with armed security after being hit with death threats as the family feud made headlines. Caroline stated: “I know it’s the end. But please, the message I want Adam to hear is no matter what happens in the future, please know I love you, your dad loves you, you can come home and talk to me at any point.”
She continued: “There’s nothing you’ve done that I would not forgive. I love you so much.
“I hope your marriage is a good one. I don’t wish any ill on you, and I want you and Holly to have a long and happy marriage. The reason I’m speaking out is I want all this to end."
Caroline claimed Adam was “in Gordon's clutches” and felt the family were “pulling him away”. She told the Daily Mail: "He’s in Gordon’s clutches. I can’t help but feel like they are pulling him away from me. Their family is very insular."
Caroline added that she was at home looking after Adam's son at the time of the hen and stag dos.
She told the publication: “I was crying all the way home. I got home and told Mark that for the first time in my life, I felt I didn’t want to live.
“That’s how low this has made me. I’m a strong woman, and I can get through anything, but this has broken me.”
Adam’s aunt, Louise Williams, has been vocal about her sister, Caroline’s feelings of betrayal, as she took to social media with a furious tirade aimed at Holly.
Criticising the bride-to-be, she raged: “@hollyramsayy I’m so glad that you had a great hen do. As a bride, you deserve that.
“However, as a person, you were divisive and hurtful towards a woman who I have loved and continue to love deeply. You have inflicted a hurt on my sister that will take a very long time to heal if ever.”
