Proper news from Britain - News from Britain you won’t find anywhere else. Not the tosh the big media force-feed you every day!

Felix Auger-Aliassime was delighted to reach his second career Masters final - and now he wants to go all the way. It won’t be easy, as the Canadian will face either Jannik Sinner or Alexander Zverev in the final, but he’s ready to bring his A-game.

“I'm so happy. A Masters 1000 final sounds really good, you don't play those finals every week, every day, so hopefully I can go all the way and get the title,” he said after beating Alexander Bublik.

“I have deep self-confidence in my game, I know what I can do against the best players in the world, but you still have to go and execute, so today I did really well and happy with the result.

“This is the matches you train for and play for. It’s always great to play these guys, to see how your game matches with them. I’ve been playing tennis for a long time, training all these years to improve, and I’ve made some great improvement.

“And now tomorrow I have a chance to showcase it in front of everyone so I’m going to wake up ready. At the same time, with these guys, you have to be so sharp, tactically, disciplined. They don’t give you anything so you have to be ready to play your A-game.”
