An urgent 'do not eat' notice has been issued for Krispy Kreme's World Cup-inspired doughnuts over fears they are contaminated with nuts.
The chain is recalling its Pitch Perfect Doughnut and Match Day Dozen products after discovering they may contain hazelnuts that are not declared on the label.
Designed to resemble a football pitch with green and white icing, the Pitch Perfect Doughnut contains a white chocolate filling and, according to Krispy Kreme's allergy guidance, should only contain allergens including wheat, soya and milk.
The Match Day Dozen - which sells for £21.99 - includes two Pitch Perfect Doughnuts alongside a selection of other varieties. The Pitch Perfect is also sold individually.
Krispy Kreme is now recalling batches potentially affected by the contamination.
The impacted Pitch Perfect Doughnut is believed to be sold in a single pack, with best-before dates of June 21, 2026, and June 22, 2026.
Meanwhile, the potentially affected Match Day Dozen contains 12 doughnuts and has the same best-before dates of June 21, 2026, and June 22, 2026.
The products are believed to have been made at Krispy Kreme's Peterborough site, which stocks stores in Leicester, Nottingham, Ipswich, Norwich and Cambridge, as well as supermarkets in the area.

Krispy Kreme says the best before date can be checked on the 'tamper evident sticker'.
The chain says anyone who has purchased an affected box should not eat the product and instead return it to the store where it was purchased for a full refund. No receipt is required.
A company spokesperson said: 'Krispy Kreme takes its responsibilities to consumers extremely seriously and always aims to ensure the highest possible standards of product safety.
'We are sorry for any inconvenience or disappointment this product recall may cause you.'
In an alert issued by the Food Standards Agency (FSA), officials warned: 'These products may contain hazelnuts (nuts) making it a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to hazelnuts (nuts).
'If you have bought the above products and have an allergy to hazelnuts (nuts), do not eat them.
'Instead, return the products to the store you purchased them from for a full refund (with or without a receipt).
The FSA also urged customers to contact Krispy Kreme's customer care email address for more information.
