It's that time of the year again - the transfer window is now open until September 1 and it's sure to be a busy period with clubs looking to make big signings ahead of next season.
Here are today's latest developments from Simon Jones and the Daily Mail Sport team...
Leeds close in on Trafford
Leeds United are finalising an agreement on a £40million transfer, plus £5m in add-ons and a sell-on clause, for Manchester City goalkeeper James Trafford.
The deal is not complete, but positive talks are continuing and are expected to reach the final stages imminently.
The 23-year-old is keen on the move to Leeds and sees it as a chance to play regularly and establish himself as England's No 1.
Discussions have taken place over a release clause, with other top Premier League sides willing to monitor his development.
Newcastle had discussed an offer for Trafford but have switched their sights. They are assessing Sporting Braga's Lukas Hornicek among others.
Despite holding a meeting regarding Brighton's Carl Rushworth, Newcastle were understood to have had reservations about his top-flight experience.

Stones close to Inter Milan deal
England defender John Stones is close to agreeing a two-year contract with Inter Milan.
The 32-year-old is a free agent after leaving Manchester City and has had interest from a number of clubs, including Chelsea, Arsenal and Juventus.
However, Inter are proposing a two-year deal and want to team him up with Tottenham's Cristian Romero, whose agent held talks over the weekend.
Inter had also considered Chelsea's Trevoh Chalobah and sounded out Spurs' Djed Spence.
Stones proved his fitness at the World Cup and Inter believe his experience and reading of the game will complement their style as they challenge for the Serie A title and the Champions League.
He is keen on trying a new culture and is leaning towards an agreement as talks reach an advanced stage.

Chelsea move for Henderson
Chelsea are working on a deal to sign Jordan Henderson on a free transfer from Brentford.
After missing out on Sunderland’s Granit Xhaka, the Stamford Bridge club have moved for 36-year-old Henderson to fulfil a role on the pitch and crucially in the dressing room.
As Daily Mail Sport exclusively revealed, Chelsea are already closing on a move for Danny Welbeck as manager Xabi Alonso looks to add older heads to a young squad.
Alonso has determined that the squad dynamic needs to change to help Chelsea achieve their goals and maintain a successful challenge to rivals.
There are a number of clubs interested in Henderson, who is still recovering from a fractured arm suffered during the World Cup, including two other Premier League sides, but Chelsea are favourites to sign him.

Barca keep Kroupi on their radar
Barcelona remain attentive to Eli Junior Kroupi's situation as their proposed deal for Julian Alvarez continues to prove tricky to conclude.
Bournemouth insist he is not for sale but the forward is on Barcelona’s radar as well as that of Arsenal and Manchester City.

Imray's set for £4.5m Wrexham deal
Wrexham are closing in on signing full back Danny Imray from Crystal Palace in a £4.5m deal.
As reported by Daily Mail Sport yesterday the 22-year-old, who had loan spells with Blackpool and West Bromwich Albion last season, was wanted back by Albion while Stoke City also posted interest.
Wrexham, though, have got their man as they look to bolster their bid for promotion from the Championship to the Premier League.
Wycombe made a £750k bid in January 2025, which Palace decided to rebuff. Now they are set to land a fee seven-times higher 18 months later.

Read all about it as Forest eye £21m deal
Nottingham Forest are continuing negotiations with Feyenoord over a £21million deal for Givairo Read.
The Netherlands U21 international right back has agreed a five-year contract with Forest but they have still to finalise terms with his club after improving their offer on Sunday.
Feyenoord ideally want to keep the right-back for another season but he is keen on the move to the Premier League and what would be a hefty increase in salary.

Former Nottingham Forest and Manchester City goalkeeper Stefan Ortega is in advanced talks with Olympiacos.
The 33-year-old left Forest in June after the expiry of his short-term contract.
The Greek club are also owned by Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis and are selling Konstantinos Tzolakis to Hull City.

The 20-year-old was on loan at Welsh Premier League side Connah’s Quay Nomads last season, where he kept 10 clean sheets in 34 appearances.
The Wales youth keeper, the son of former Manchester City keeper Martyn Margetson, made his debut for Wales U21s against Belarus in March.
Margetson will move to Old Trafford subject to registration, after the two clubs agreed a compensation deal.

Villa's Kosta eyed by Osasuna
Aston Villa defender Kosta Nedeljkovic is wanted on loan by Osasuna.
The 20-year-old Serbia international right-back has been on loan at RB Leipzig but has not had a great deal of game time owing to niggly back and knee injuries.
He returned to full fitness in March and played for Serbia against World Cup winners Spain and was back in Villa's team for the pre-season friendly win over Walsall last week.
Fiorentina also made enquiries for Nedeljkovic earlier this year but Villa are ready to send him out for what they hope will be a more beneficial season on loan and La Liga side Osasuna want him to join them.
Villa have been trying to add another right-back and held talks with Flamengo for former Spurs defender Emerson Royal.
They are still to receive another approach from Arsenal for Ezri Konsa but the offer of a new contract is on the table and they do not need to sell following the £117m departure of Morgan Rogers.
Leicester eye Spurs defender Hardy
Tottenham defensive prospect Malachi Hardy has emerged as a potential loan target for Leicester City.
The League One side are exploring a move for the England U18 international who has impressed Roberto de Zerbi on pre-season so far with his composure and ability.
Following the 2-0 win over Auckland, De Zerbi said simply of the central defender, 'Malachi is another good player for the future of the club.'
The 18-year-old was given a contract extension earlier this year after impressing staff enough to step up to train with the first team and 'improving his aggression'.
Everton's Ndiaye a target for Al-Hilal
Al-Hilal are targeting Everton winger Iliman Ndiaye.
The Senegal international, 26, has three years left on his contract and Everton have been trying to tie him down to an improved deal which he has so far rejected.
The club’s stance has been he is not for sale amid interest from Premier League rivals but Al Hilal’s presence and financial power may bring greater concern.
Much will depend on what offer they put on the table, but they have yet to submit a bid.
Al Hilal, who have former Bournemouth technical director Simon Francis now on their staff, signed Crysencio Summerville from West Ham last week.
Iliman Ndiaye still has three years on his Everton contract and has resisted an improved deal
