England continue their World Cup campaign in the early hours of Monday morning against Mexico with Thomas Tuchel's side eyeing a spot in the quarter-finals.

The Three Lions, who will have to navigate Mexico having home advantage at the Estadio Azteca as well as the altitude in Mexico City, came from behind to win 2-1 against DR Congo in the round of 32, with Harry Kane's brace proving the difference.

England started slow and conceded after just seven minutes, with Kane netting his first goal on the 75-minute mark. The clash looked destined to go to extra time but the Bayern Munich man fired home around 10 minutes later to book their spot in the last 16.

England reached the semi-finals at the 2018 World Cup before being knocked out in the quarter-finals in 2022 - and Tuchel will be well aware that the likes of Brazil, Argentina and France potentially lie in wait if they can get past Mexico.

World Cup co-hosts Mexico, who have lost just two of their 89 competitive matches at the Estadio Azteca, have won all four of their outings at this summer's tournament - and they're still yet to concede a goal.

Mexico won all three of their group games before beating Ecuador 2-0 in the round of 32, with Julián Quiñones and Raúl Jiménez netting. They're hoping to reach the quarter-finals for the first time since 1986 when they last hosted a World Cup.
