M20 traffic LIVE: Rush hour chaos on major motorway as crash sparks 'severe delays'

Emergency services rushed to the M20 following a crash near Maidstone. 

The incident, which took place between junctions 4 and 5, involved a coach and a lorry. 

After 5pm, as the Friday evening rush hour was about to begin, two out of three lanes eastbound were closed, National Highways said. 

Traffic information service Inrix reported "severe delays" in the area, and National Highways spoke of five miles of congestion.
