Hairy Bikers star Dave Myers' wife details emotional 'last journey' as she issues update

Dave Myers' wife Lily has opened up about the star's emotional ‘last journey’ as she revealed that fans have the opportunity to buy his motorbike.

The popular TV star died in February last year, aged 66, after losing a cancer battle. Now, the bike ridden by Dave, during the making of the Hairy Bikers TV show, will be heading to auction on March 26.

The BSA Goldstar has a retail price of around £8,000, with hopes of the sale reaching over the £10,000 mark.

Appearing on BBC Breakfast on Monday (March 10) morning, in a pre-recorded interview, Lily went on to say: “He was so excited about it because just a few months before he never thought that he would ride a bike again.”

She added: “I was delighted that he was able to do it again. This was his last horse and it was with him on his last journey.”
