I cleaned my glass oven door in two minutes using just 2 household items

Focusing only on the glass oven door, I wanted to quickly wipe away all of the dirt and grime.
Normally, I would use a commercial cleaner to wipe away the dirty residue, but I didn't have any and didn’t want to go to the shop.
The powerful cleaning combination of white vinegar and baking soda is said to be an effective natural cleaner.
Luckily, I already had both of these household staples at home; baking soda is in the kitchen cupboard for any bakes I might make, and white vinegar has already become a cleaning staple in my household.
All I needed to do was open the oven door, sprinkle some baking soda on the oven glass, and spray some white vinegar on top.
When baking soda and white vinegar come into contact, a chemical reaction occurs, releasing carbon dioxide gas. This chemical reaction helps lift dirt and grime from surfaces.
Setting a timer of two minutes, I went to do another household chore (washing the dishes).
Once the two-minute timer went off, I simply wiped off the dirt, grime, and grease with a sponge. While some spots on the oven glass required a bit of elbow grease, most of the dirt came off easily.
All I did was rinse the sponge and continue wiping the oven glass door until the baking soda and white vinegar mixture was washed off. I then used a microfibre cloth to dry the door, which gave it a lovely sheen.
It must be noted, however, that my oven glass door was only lightly soiled with dirt and grime, so the natural cleaning solution would probably need to be left on for longer for more dirty oven doors.
If I were to do the baking soda and white vinegar cleaning hack again, there’s one thing I would do differently.
I would put down newspaper or a towel underneath the oven door to catch any watery residue that falls off the side of the oven glass door.
I hadn’t done this, so once the oven door was clean, there were small water puddles on the floor; this meant I had to wipe the floor dry once the oven cleaning job was done.
As for whether the baking soda and white vinegar cleaning combination works any better than a commercial cleaner, I would say the results are equal.
But, if you have ever run out of commercial cleaner and have baking soda and white vinegar at home, you know your oven glass door can still be cleaned without a problem.
