Martin Lewis sparks chaos as ITV show causes will website to crash within minutes
MoneySavingExpert.com founder Martin Lewis has sparked carnage as viewers crashed a wills website within minutes of his ITV show airing. The financial expert explained to people at home how to get a simple free will, drafted by a solicitor. During Tuesday's installment (March 11), the 52-year-old focused on what would happen to your assets if you died unexpectedly, leading to how to write a will for free and get it drafted by a solicitor.
Even on Twitter, Martin's official X account posted a link to the website where you can get a free will, typing: "March is ‘Free Wills Month’ for those aged 55+: get a solicitor-drafted (or updated) will for free. Find more info here…."
This caused many viewers to click on the link and attempt to sign up, causing the link to crash within 10 minutes. One person posted on social media: "#MartinLewis 10 minutes in and you've crashed the will website job for tomorrow love the advice Martin."
Another person chimed in: "Link not working!" as a third person commented: "#MartinLewis The link for the free wills month is not working."
