Ukraine LIVE: Moscow on fire after huge drone attack ahead of Saudi Arabia peace talks
At least one person has died as a result of Ukraine's attack, Russian officials say.
AP reports the most drones, 126, were shot down over the Kursk region across the border from Ukraine.
91 were shot down over the Moscow region.
Other areas targeted included Belgorod, Bryansk and Voronezh, as well as Kaluga, Lipetsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Oryol and Ryazan.
