The moment a schoolgirl was kicked in the face and repeatedly punched in a horrific 15-minute attack on a train has been revealed.
The 13-year-old, named Ruby, suffered a broken wrist during the vicious ordeal, despite pleading with the youths to stop.
The terrifying incident was posted on social media and showed the schoolgirl being punched, kicked in the head, having her hair yanked and enduring verbal abuse from her attackers.
In response to the assault, Ruby, from North Shields, tearfully begged the teens to 'please leave us alone'.
Ruby's aunt, Tammie Barclay, claimed the teenagers were wanting money from Ruby in order to stop hurting her.
'They held her captive on the Metro and they asked for money to stop beating her up,' Ms Barclay told the Mirror.
Ruby had just boarded the Tyne and Wear Metro at Whitley Bay on Friday afternoon.
A little while later, two females allegedly joined the train and attacked her until the vehicle arrived at St James' station.

Despite Ruby handing over £10, Ms Barclay added: 'They still carried on beating her up. She's got chunks of her hair missing out of her head as well.'
After reporting the incident to police, Ms Barclay made a GoFundMe page with a £30 goal to cover the cost of Ruby's money and coat, which was allegedly 'ripped to shreds'.
'I woke up the next day and it was over a £1,000. I couldn't believe it,' Ms Barclay said.
As strangers continued to show their support, making up more than £3,900, the aunt urged: 'Thank you everyone. Please stop donations. Ruby has got more than enough to have a lovely day out.'
A spokesperson for Northumbria Police said: 'Shortly before 7.55pm on Friday, April 4, we received a report of a disturbance near to Wallsend Metro Station.
'Officers attended where it was reported a teenage girl had been assaulted by two other females while on board the train. Those involved had already left the area before police arrival.
'The victim – aged 13 – was left shaken by the incident and was taken to hospital to be checked over. She has since been discharged and is being supported by officers.'
