Good Morning Britain viewers issue same complaint just minutes into ITV show

Good Morning Britain viewers expressed their anger on Friday (March 7) just minutes into the show, as they lodged a complaint on social media. Presenters Kate Garraway and Rob Rinder delivered the latest headlines to ITV viewers during the morning programme.

The Duchess of Sussex's recent appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, where she promoted her new Netflix series With Love, Meghan, was one of the first topics discussed.

Meghan had appeared on the US chat show the previous day (March 6), sharing details about her home life in California with Prince Harry and their two children.

She also showcased her culinary skills in the kitchen with Drew, demonstrating techniques featured in her new series. However, GMB viewers were not pleased with the continued coverage of Meghan, feeling that the show had discussed her too extensively that week.

"Why are they talking about Meghan AGAIN? They spoke about her being on the Drew Barrymore show yesterday! My god this show are obsessed with her, living rent free in their minds," one viewer complained on X (formerly Twitter).

Another user criticised the show's producers, saying: "Whoever the @ITV producer of @GMB they really have an obsession with Meghan Markle for the last 8 years from Piers Morgan, Dan Wootton. We are now in 2025 and they are still obsessing over Meghan. LIKE it or not they are promoting her Netflix show which is becoming a global success."

A third fan remarked: "#GMB are really plugging Meghan's show," while another viewer observed: "Not a fan of Meghan but this show absolutely f****** hate her."

The Duchess of Sussex's new lifestyle series made its debut on Netflix this Tuesday (March 4), swiftly climbing the ranks to become the fourth most-watched show in the UK, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Meghan takes centre stage, offering viewers a glimpse into her domestic prowess with tips on how to "elevate" everyday meals.

In addition to sharing her culinary and home-making secrets, Meghan invites a host of friends and celebrities to a lavish California estate where they exchange advice on cooking, gardening, and entertaining.

Among the star-studded lineup are 'The Office' alum Mindy Kaling, Meghan's former 'Suits' co-star Abigail Spencer, and renowned chefs Roy Choi, Ramon Velazquez, and Alice Waters. Adding Royal flair to the series, Prince Harry himself makes a surprise cameo.

Despite riding high on Netflix's popularity charts, the eight-episode show hasn't escaped harsh criticism. Detractors have lambasted it with scathing reviews, labelling the Duchess's project as "insane" and a blatant "exercise in narcissism".

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV1 and ITVX at 6am
