Revealed: Bryan Mbeumo's 'Man United wage demands' after Brentford star picked Old Trafford over Premier League rivals for summer move
Proper news from Britain - News from Britain you won’t find anywhere else. Not the tosh the big media force-feed you every day!
- Bryan Mbeumo scored 20 league goals and added eight assists in 2024-25
- The Brentford forward has attracted interest from several Premier League clubs
Bryan Mbeumo is reportedly hoping to earn £250,000-a-week if he moves to Manchester United this summer.
Mbeumo, 25, has shone at Brentford since joining the club in 2019 and he enjoyed his most productive season yet in 2024-25.
The right-sided forward scored 20 Premier League goals and added eight assists as the Bees finished 10th in the top flight.
Mail Sport reported on Monday how United are set to open official talks with the Bees over the 25-year-old after Mbeumo indicated his desire to move to Old Trafford.
Newcastle United, Tottenham and Arsenal had all made contact over the 25-year old, who is valued at more than £60million but he told United he wants to join them and be part of Ruben Amorim's rebuild this summer.
And, according to The Times, Mbeumo currently earns around £50,0000-a-week but he is keen for a five-fold increase on his salary if the move does get completed.

Mail Sport understands that the £250,000-a-week figure was quoted to the clubs who were interested in Mbeumo, although it is unclear whether United will reach that figure.
United are keen to offload exiled stars Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho this summer, two of their highest earners who are both on around £300,000-a-week.
If they are successful in doing so, that would free up significant space in the wage bill, yet if Mbeumo's demands were met, it would make him one of United's highest earners.
Mbeumo has one year left on his Brentford deal, although the club do have an option to extend it by an extra 12 months.
Meanwhile, Bees boss Thomas Frank admitted in May that Mbeumo's exit was likely this summer if the right deal was offered and opened up on how difficult it would be to replace him.
He said: 'If he is to be sold, it must be for a nice, nice amount. It is a lot. Mucho. Really a lot. Then it is clear that it is impossible to replace him one for one. It cannot be done.
'There is a reason why he costs x number of million pounds, and we do not have x number of million pounds to buy for.
'I would say that I would be surprised if a lot of big clubs don’t look at him. I would be surprised with what he has to offer.

'How many wingers score 20 goals for a mid-table club? And then with seven assists plus his work ethic.
'And his character. All these things mean that he has a lot, so he is a good player.'
Mbeumo joined Brentford from French side Troyes in 2019 and the forward helped the Bees to promotion to the Premier League in 2021.
He made the step up with ease and is the latest in a long line of success stories for Brentford's recruitment but his form has gone to another level over the past 12 months.
In total, the 25-year-old, who played every minute of Brentford's Premier League campaign in 2024-25, has scored 70 goals and added 51 assists in 242 appearances for the west London club.
The potential addition of the 18-cap Cameroon international is another boost for Ruben Amorim after United confirmed the £62.5m arrival of Matheus Cunha from Wolves on Sunday.
Like Mbeumo, Cunha enjoyed a stunning Premier League season, scoring 15 goals and adding six assists in 33 league games.
